Man arrested after 19-year-old cyclist killed in hit-and-run in Luton

A 19-year-old cyclist was killed in a collision with a vehicle in Vincent Road, Luton, on 5th September. The driver of the vehicle did not stop.

The case is now being investigated as a potential murder.

22-year-old Kyle Beckford, of Marsh Farm in Luton has appeared at Luton Crown Court charged with the murder of the teenage cyclist, Delaney Brown.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, having suffered a broken neck.

Beckford was remanded in custody to appear at Luton Crown Court on the 28th January 2013 for a plea and case management hearing.

Seven other men questioned by police on suspicion of conspiracy to murder Mr Brown have all been released on police bail until November 28.
