Daniel, Cambridge, April 2012

Daniel was in a collision with a car driver who turned right across his path at a junction. Daniel hit the bonnet and rolled into the road. The right side of his body was heavily bruised and his wrist was sprained.

The police did not take witness statements or the driver’s statement and Daniel’s statement was not included in the incident report.

Sarah-Charlotte Peace, Oswestry, Shropshire, August 2012

Sarah-Charlotte, or S-C as she prefers to be called, is a qualified yoga instructor, registered exercise professional and design teacher, with a passion for cycling.

S-C was due to start a new job as a design teacher which coincided with plans to expand her yoga instruction when very suddenly her life was thrown upside down and her career plans destroyed by a driver’s irresponsible behaviour.

James Moore, London, February, 2011

Father of two, James, was waiting on his bicycle at a set of traffic lights when a lorry positioned inside the advanced cyclists' box turned left across his path. James was dragged under the wheels of the lorry and had to be airlifted to hospital.
